Things to do in El Poblado in one day, from morning to night

El Poblado is best enjoyed at your own pace, one moment at a time. Here we share how a full day in the neighborhood can look for our guests, from a morning workout and a slow breakfast to an afternoon of art, rest and a dinner worth staying out for.

Here you will find

When people ask us what to do in El Poblado, we rarely answer with a list. What makes this part of Medellín special is not one place in particular, but how easy it is to move from one good moment to the next without ever going too far.

That is why we like to think of it as a full day. A day that starts with movement, slows down around good food and art, leaves space for rest and ends with a dinner you will remember. Many of the places we mention here are part of the community around Wake Living, spaces we know well and that our guests keep coming back to.

A morning to wake up the body

The way a day starts usually shapes everything that comes after. In El Poblado, mornings are a good time to move.

Around eight in the morning, many of our guests head to PWR:CLUB for a functional training session or a boxing class. It is a space built for people who take their training seriously, and it is the kind of start that leaves you with energy for the rest of the day.

Afterwards, a short walk takes you to Ely Café. Specialty coffee, a relaxed brunch and a calm atmosphere make it an easy place to sit for a while before the day picks up. It fits well with the way we like to live here, without rushing.

Midday with art and a long lunch

Around noon the city invites you to slow down and look around. Medellín has a very lively art scene, and El Poblado is a good place to discover it.

Policroma is a contemporary gallery that shows work by local and international artists. A visit there is a good pause in the day and a way to understand the creative energy that runs through the city.

For lunch, we often suggest Máximo. Its cooking takes inspiration from the Mediterranean, with simple dishes and seasonal flavors, in a setting that feels elegant without being formal. It is the kind of lunch that invites you to stay a little longer at the table.

An afternoon to rest or to work

The afternoon can go two ways, and both are welcome.

If your body is asking for a pause, Wake Park is a quiet space to disconnect for a while. It is a small refuge from the movement of the city, designed for slowing down and reconnecting with yourself.

If your trip mixes work and leisure, the afternoon is also a good moment for meetings. Our private spaces offer a calm and comfortable place to work or receive guests, with views of the city in the background.

A night to enjoy the table

As the evening arrives, El Poblado changes its rhythm and it is time for dinner.

Oni is a good choice for those who enjoy bold flavors. Its Nikkei cuisine brings together Japanese technique and Peruvian ingredients, and its dishes are made for sharing.

If you prefer something more intimate, Chez Migu is a small bistro with French influences and comforting food, a warm way to close the day.

How Wake Living connects it all

None of these moments are a coincidence. They are part of the neighborhood we live in every day and the community that surrounds Wake Living. Staying with us means having your apartment as a home base and a team that can help you organize your days, from reservations to experiences outside the city.

If you would like to live El Poblado this way, we invite you to explore our apartments at Wake Living and start planning your own day in the neighborhood.
