The food scene has grown a lot in recent years, and today you will find everything from contemporary Colombian cooking that reinterprets local ingredients to international cuisine, fusion restaurants and places where the view is as much a part of the dinner as the food.
Dinner here is rarely rushed. It is common to take your time, share a few dishes and let the conversation go on before deciding what comes next. In Provenza and the surrounding streets you can go from one restaurant to another on foot, which makes it easy to choose on the go.
Rooftops and the city lights
After dinner, many people head up. Rooftops in Medellín have become one of the most enjoyable ways to experience the city at night, with open terraces, good cocktails, music and views of the valley lit up below.
